So I joined that "write a novel in a month" thing.
I'm about 3500 words in, little over.

Ah, but you're a special breed of idiot. You're that rare breed of idiot who has so little respect for his sanity that he'll voluntarily sign up for a project that has a five page paper due every day for 30 days straight.

So where did you get the idea?
Been floating around my head for a while. Just wanted to write a classic pulp detective in the vein of Marlowe, but emphasizing the loser traits rather than the hardboiled traits.
